Assessing and Managing Domestic Violence Threat In the Workplace

Developed specifically for threat assessment team personnel, this training explores how key theories and techniques of threat assessment and management can be applied to the prevention of and response to domestic violence in the workplace.

Participating professionals will learn how to evaluate and mitigate on-the-job risk as they discover the warning signs for imminent violence, explore target hardening tactics, and develop practical prevention strategies to increase workplace safety while reducing loss and liability. Participants will begin by learning core concepts for evaluating and addressing potential targeted violence, and then apply those ideas to observing high-risk behaviors and interpreting stated threats. Next, we will discuss the building blocks of a comprehensive DV threat management program as well as the implementation of effective workplace interventions and safety plans.

The session concludes with a focus feature on dual employee cases, and a helpful series of case management tips before ending with an audience Q&A.
